Carlos Pereira Santos, Ph.D.

Professor

Carlos Pereira Santos is a professor of Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, with deep expertise in real-time systems, game-engine technology, and mixed reality. At Breda University of Applied Sciences, he drives innovation in AI, Augmented Reality, and Serious Games through multidisciplinary projects. His role bridges technical research and architectural design, while mentoring students and managing diverse teams of researchers, developers, and designers.

Carlos has led initiatives within the CRADLE lab and previously coordinated the Indie Game Development program. His industry experience includes work on the European GPS system (Galileo) and developing distributed systems for aerospace and entertainment applications.
