Irene van Blerck is a lecturer in artificial intelligence at Breda University of Applied Sciences and a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at the University of Antwerp, specializing in algorithmic fairness. Her multidisciplinary research integrates perspectives from humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to foster more responsible AI systems. She also brings practical experience as a data scientist in the public sector, where she supported data-driven policy and decision-making at both municipal and intermunicipal levels through the development of dashboards and machine learning applications.
